Today we will be bringing you all of Instagram’s recent updates PLUS revealing a new app they will be rolling out!!

Updates:

Reel “trial” option – you can now try your reel on non-followers first and see how it performs before it being seen by your own followers. If it performs well, you will be notified and can post it to your page 🙂

Highlights will be removed and put into a tab by your reels tab. Curious what you think of this?

Your photos and reels on your main page are no longer square shaped! They are rectangles now which will make it easier to see what each post is.

People can comment on your stories now and others can see them.

You can now create 3 minute reels. 30 seconds or more are now favored.

New App – a new app called Edits will be released soon! It’s a video creation suite. It has much higher video quality and everything you need to edit and create reels. You can post from it and it’ll have unique insights for your post. It will have an inspirational tab and you’ll have to ability to post drafts to friends or other creators.

GROWTH tips: the Meta algorithms are now favoring static posts (especially carousels with trending audio). Reels are still favored as well, but good to mix it up more. Secondly, straight from Meta – you need to be posting at the very least 10x a month for growth!
